AssayQuant® is developing multiple formats for measuring the activity of protein kinases, including:
PhosphoSens®: CSox- or Sox-based substrates for use with recombinant or purified kinases, including immunoprecipitation-based kinase assays. Our assays are all non-radioactive, eliminating health risk from exposure to radioactive [32P]-ATP and the costs of radioactive waste disposal, while allowing for efficient kinetic monitoring of the kinase reaction to provide more information with less effort and no additional cost.
PhosphoSens®-Lysate: This product line is currently in development, but initial feasibility has been established (See Peterson et al. 2014 and references therein). These products use CSox-based substrates with high-selectivity for the target kinase, allowing activity to be monitored in crude cell or tissue lysates, providing the same easy-to-use format but with complex samples. PhosphoSens®-Red: Excitation Max 360 nm, Emission Max 620 nm, allows the Sox technology to be run as an endpoint format, where the much higher emission wavelength and time-resolved fluorescence detection avoids interference from compound autofluorescence.
